Welcome to FlipCloc. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information that we receive through our applications and website.

2. Information We Collect

Analytics Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data to help us understand how our app and website are used and to improve the user experience. This data does not personally identify you. We use third-party services like PostHog and Google Analytics for these analytics.

Personal Information & Account Data (Platform Specific): How we handle your personal information depends on the platform you are using:

  • Mac App: We do not collect any personal information. All your data, settings, and presets are saved locally on your device. We do not use user accounts on the Mac app, and cross-device syncing is currently unavailable on Mac.
  • Web & Windows Apps: We use Supabase to provide user accounts. If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address strictly for authentication. We use your account to save your presets and sync them across your Web and Windows devices.
  • General: If you voluntarily provide your email to subscribe to our newsletter or contact support, we use it solely to communicate with you.

Payment Information (Platform Specific): All purchases are processed securely by our platform partners. On the Mac App Store, Apple handles your transaction securely. On the Web and Windows versions, payments are processed securely by Dodo Payments. We never process, collect, or store your credit card details or billing information on our own servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Understand how people use FlipCloc, which features are most popular, and what functionality people spend time on, so we can improve them.
  • Communicate with you, including sending updates if you opted in.

4. Data Sharing & Ads

We never sell your data to anyone, and we are 100% ad-free. We do not show or sell ads in our apps, we do not sell data to data brokers, and we do not trade your information. We only share anonymous, aggregated analytics data with our trusted analytics tools (Google Analytics and PostHog) strictly for the purpose of helping us understand app usage and improve FlipCloc.

5. Your Choices

You can choose not to provide personal information. You may also unsubscribe from our communications at any time.

6. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without the required consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information promptly.

Where required by applicable law, we will comply with local requirements regarding the age of consent for the processing of personal information.

7. Data Security

The only piece of personal information we ever store on our servers is your email address, and only if you choose to create an account on the Web or Windows apps, or opt-in to our communications. We take reasonable measures to protect your email address from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is ever fully secure or error-free. Please keep this in mind when providing your email address to create an account or subscribe.
